LOCATION

Located on the tranquil shores of the Marmara Sea, Gemlik lies 30 kilometers northwest of Bursa. This district, belonging to the province of Bursa, is situated at 29 degrees 13 minutes east longitude and 40 degrees 12 minutes north latitude. It is surrounded by the Katırlı Mountains and Orhangazi terrain to the east, the bay that gives the district its name to the west, the Samanlı Mountains to the north, and Bursa's undulating lands to the south.
